Secret City Souls are a band hell bent on proudly flying the flag for pop punk in Stoke’s scene, with their latest offering This Song Has Nothing To Do With Shawn Mendes being so pure to pop punk music that it might as well come with a slice of pizza.

The energetic tempo, the sad lyrics of city life and hardship, this is a band who effortlessly encompass everything it means to be a pop punk band. Though their earlier releases leaned a little more on the emo side of life, SCS seem to have found inspiration and motivation - and most certainly momentum - by shifting ever so slightly towards a more out and out pop punk style.
